Welcome to the web site of Plymouth Coastguard search and rescue team. We are a team of 12 volunteers from all walks of life who are on call 24hrs a day, 365 days of the year and are ready to respond to maritime incidents around the coast of Plymouth.

HM Coastguard Brixham, is the Maritime Rescue Co-ordination Centre (MRCC) where we take our tasks from. These tasks can range from collecting information from various vessels that have been involved in an emergency, to a full scale search for a missing person or a full cliff rescue.

Plymouth Coastguard search and rescue (SAR) team are called to approximately 60-70 incidents each year, some of which include working with our flank teams, which are Yealm CG to the East and Tamar CG to the West.

We train every second Tuesday of the month and every other Sunday through out the year at various locations around the Plymouth coastline.
